Proxy setup in Google Chrome

Before starting, obtain the connection data (host, port, login/password):

Chrome features

  • Chrome does not have a built‑in separate proxy form.
  • It uses system settings of Windows, macOS or Linux.

Windows

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Menu ⋮ → Settings.
  3. In the search field enter proxy.
  4. Click Open your computer’s proxy settings.
  5. A Windows system window will open (see Windows).
  6. Enter the host, port and, if necessary, login/password.

macOS

  1. Open Chrome → Settings.
  2. Enter in search: proxy.
  3. Click Open your computer’s proxy settings.
  4. The macOS settings window will open (see macOS).

Linux

  1. Chrome uses environment variables or launch flags.
  2. Launch with a proxy:
    google-chrome --proxy-server="http://p2.mangoproxy.com:2333"
  3. Or configure the proxy in Linux.
